KINEZIO TAPING IN REHABILITATION

KINEZIO TAPING IN REHABILITATION

Kinesio taping is one of the effective methods of physical rehabilitation used to restore bodily functions in various pathological conditions (osteochondrosis, stroke, trauma, surgery, pain syndrome, etc.).

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The essence of the technique is that kinesio tapes are glued to certain areas of the skin in a special way.
Kinesio tapes are elastic cotton tapes coated with hypoallergenic acrylic glue. They are used on the skin. Body temperature activates the glue, which leads to tension in the areas of the skin where the strips are. The tension of the strap is very close to the tension of human skin, so it takes on part of the load of the overloaded parts of the muscle mass and helps them in their work.

WHAT PROBLEM IS SOLVED?

Kinesio taping allows you to quickly and painlessly rebuild muscles that are due to stroke, trauma, accident, etc. lost mobility, and facilitates movement in the joints.
Therefore, this method of rehabilitation is successfully used in neurology and post-stroke rehabilitation.
The effect of the tape begins immediately after application and lasts from 3-4 days.
Because cotton is an breathable material, the strips can stay on the skin for up to two weeks. At the same time, the patient is not completely restricted in movements and can safely perform water procedures.

Kinesio taping has effects ::
* pain relief
* anti-inflammatory effect
*lymphatic drainage
* dynamic (facilitates the movement of the limb or joint)
* relaxing (effect on muscles)
* decongestant
* stabilizing (effect on the joint)

Kinesio taping allows you to maintain and even increase the mobility of the injured limb, which is especially important in the treatment of movement disorders after a stroke.
Kinesio tape is effective in treating:

paresis (paralysis) of the limb due to stroke
osteochondrosis of the spine

* shoulder pain
* neck pain
* headache
*back ache

Thus, the use of kinesio taping in the complex rehabilitation of the patient significantly increases its effectiveness.
Kinesio taping improves microcirculation in tissues at various levels; normalizes muscle tone; reduces the syndrome of acute and chronic pain; acts on many receptors and thus promotes the regeneration of damaged tissues.
